At the start of each new year I usually hesitate to set "new year's resolutions." In the past, I've felt like they set me up for failure instead of success because they were either too lofty or lacked clarity.
What changed this process for me was a tool called the PowerSheets, from the Cultivate What Matters Shop. I began using PowerSheets in 2016 and saw a marked difference in how I approached setting and achieving goals because the areas I identified to work on weren't randomly selected, but carefully uncovered. As a result, I was more confident in my abilities to succeed, and I felt like I had a guiding hand helping me through the process!
While most posts on this blog connect in some way to each of my goals, I periodically summarize my progress in achieving each identified area. Click the buttons below to visit these posts from 2016 and 2017!
I used PowerSheets for the first time in 2016. While they definitely helped me to identify areas to work on, I did sometimes struggle to check in monthly with the tool.
In 2017, I've had much more success with the prep work and feel great about the ten goal areas I've chosen to commit my time and energy to!
