Well friends, here we are in the final month of the year. It’s a bit hard to believe given how long the weeks and months of this year have felt! There is something a bit bittersweet I’m feeling about 2020 coming to an end. While this year has truly been what feels like a huge series of unfortunate events, there is something sad about the passing of time that I feel as I’m getting older. How are you feeling in this final month of 2020? Are you ok?

On my calendar this month:

  • I’ll be participating in the Cultivate Your Year Live Online program to get a jump start on my 2021 goals

  • I have a monitoring appointment in mid-December with our fertility clinic to check on where I’m at in my menstrual cycle and see if we can start making our plans for our next frozen embryo transfer

What I’m loving right now:

  • Kurt and I are participating in the Advent season by following the activities outlined in the book Shadow & Light by Tsh Oxenreider. We are really enjoying the time spent each day reflecting on this season!

December goals:

  • This is the month where all the lingering home projects are going to get done. We’re checking off little things in the kitchen, dining room, and living room so that in 2021 these projects - and the first floor of our home - will finally be finished!

  • I’d like to clean up our office and get my bike set up on the indoor trainer we have so I can have an indoor exercise option during the colder months.

  • Kurt and I are going to read more about the concept of intuitive eating. Do any of you have any experience with this?

  • I want to track my outfits in Cladwell each work day of the month in an effort to continue to better identify my clothing uniform.

As a reminder, many of these monthly goals are directly related to my overall goals for 2020!

In this season of Advent, how are you planning to slow down and savor the remaining time of 2020? Share your favorite holiday traditions or ways you honor Advent in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
