What I Read in February 2024

This month of February, I jumped head first into the romance genre and it was so much fun! This is not a genre of books that I have ever intentionally spent a lot of time reading, so to make that my primary focus for the month of February was a mental shift. But I participated in a couple of February reading bingo’s and read-a-thon’s on Instagram which helped me in knowing what authors and titles to try! It was a refreshing break from my normal thriller and fantasy reads, and now I have a couple of new favorite authors that I plan to follow for future releases.

What I Read in January 2024

What I Read in January 2024

If you’ve been around here for a while, you might remember years ago when I was more diligent in writing yearly goals I often would include the number of books, or specific book titles, that I wanted to read within the year. As time went on in our infertility treatments, I stopped using the same process to set my yearly goals, and I started focusing more on knitting as my preferred hobby, I also stopped reading as much as I had been. I’d still read a book here or there, but not with the same focus that I once had.

December 2020 Goals

Well friends, here we are in the final month of the year. It’s a bit hard to believe given how long the weeks and months of this year have felt! There is something a bit bittersweet I’m feeling about 2020 coming to an end. While it’s been what feels like a huge series of unfortunate events, there is something sad about the passing of time that I feel as I’m getting older. How are you feeling in this final month of 2020? Are you ok?

October & November 2020 Goals

October & November 2020 Goals

October has always been my favorite month of the year. The weather is often picture perfect, the colors are so beautiful, and apple cider is every where to be found. It’s the month we got married five years ago, and while it now also has some sadness associated with it after our second miscarriage at the very beginning of this month, there is just too much to love about October and the fall.

September 2020 Goals

We’re midway through September, but it’s not too late to share this month’s goals! Especially because I’ve already been making some progress on some of them! :)

I also need to take a minute and share with you all how excited I am that fall is so. close. The temperatures have started to cool off and even though we’ll probably have another week or so of hot days before it’s really here, fall is on its way. I’ve already worn turtlenecks this week. Turtlenecks!

August 2020 Goals

You know what has been annoying me a little bit recently? (I know… there are lots of things about 2020 that are annoying…) My 2020 monthly calendar is travel themed, and it’s getting a bit old each month to pull out another pretty image of somewhere I’d love to travel to in the middle of a pandemic where traveling isn’t possible! I guess I know what theme I’m not picking for my 2021 calendar…

June 2020 Goals

June 2020 Goals

It’s hard to believe that we’re already just about halfway through 2020. To be honest with all of you, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and tired in this sixth month of the year. I don’t really feel like I’ve made great progress in any of my goals, and I am trying to figure out how to make the most of the time that is left in 2020. I know that the motto for many PowerSheet’s users is “Progress, not Perfection,” but as a recovering perfectionist, that is just hard for me to abide by sometimes!

May 2020 Goals

Who am I sharing my May goals with you before the first week of May has passed?! While March and April felt a bit beyond my control, I think May might be the month where I gain some of that back. This month I’m trying to focus on filling my time with projects that feel more easily achieved, and I’m looking forward to what focusing on small change can do for me right now.

Here is what’s on my radar for this month!
