February 2020 Goals

Let’s share a ‘hip, hip hooray ‘ now that what felt like the longest month ever has come to an end! Welcome, February!

Here in Pennsylvania we have had a few days already where the sun seems to shine like it does in springtime. And with Punxatawney Phil not seeing his shadow and predicting an early spring (instead of an extended winter), it has me excited for this new month and the change in season that will hopefully arrive soon as well! While fall will always be my favorite, there is something about the energy of everything waking up in spring that is filling me with hope this year.

On my calendar this month:

  • Kurt’s 35th birthday!

  • An important appointment that will help us take the next step in our infertility journey (prayers appreciated!)

  • Our first monthly decluttering weekend (we’re setting these as the first weekend of every month for consistency)

  • Two fun excursions with my mom - a Galentine’s Day wreath making class and a spa day

  • The Phillips Family Cousin’s dinner

What I’m loving right now:

  • Kurt and I have loved watching the TV show ‘The Good Place’ since it started a couple of years ago. The last episode just aired and it was sad and uplifting and sweet and lovely. We are already talking about watching the series all over again!

  • One of my knitting works in progress to finish this month is a lace romper. It’s my first piece of lacework and following this challenging pattern has certainly tested my knitting skills. I think the end result is going to be darling, and I can’t wait to finish this project and share with you what it looks like!

February goals:

  • Finish three of my current knitting works in progress

  • Complete a winter/spring closet clean out

  • Complete our monthly decluttering weekend (we’re going to focus on the kitchen this month!)

  • Identify the total amount of credit card debt that we have

  • Work on outlining our credit card debt pay-off plan

  • Finish the intuitive eating course lessons that I signed up for

  • Set the habit of daily morning and evening meditation practice

  • Mail one package of Beautycounter samples out each week (let me know if you’re interested in receiving one!)

  • Start unsubscribing from shopping ads and emails

  • Set my seed starting calendar so plants are ready at the right time for spring planting

  • Spend 20 minutes of my lunch break outside everyday

  • Celebrate Kurt’s 35th birthday!

As a reminder, many of these monthly goals are directly related to my overall goals for 2020!

Since it’s something I’m going to prioritize this month, let’s talk about closet clean outs. How often do you complete one? How do you store your out-of-season clothing items? Do you use a capsule wardrobe? How do you set up your closet so things are easy to see? I’d love to hear from you!
