March 2020 Goals

March calendar.jpeg

I don’t know about you, but it feels like so much has happened in the last week as the country has learned more and reacted to the spread of COVID-19. How are you doing where you are? Kurt and I are practicing social distancing and trying to do our part to help #FlattenTheCurve!

I’m trying to focus on what I can control right now in an effort to minimize stress and anxiety. And I am definitely enjoying this weather and taking advantage of the opportunity to get outside more! It certainly feels like springtime is just about here to stay these last couple of days. Kurt and I were talking the other night about Spring vs. Fall and which season is better (hint: he’s team Spring and I’m team Fall) and we ended up listing lots of the same things that made each our favorite season - the coolness in the air paired with the warmth and brightness of the sunlight, the explosion of color as nature changes, how clean and clear the air feels compared to the heat of the Summer months. While neither one of us will likely ever convince the other which season is best, it is a great reminder that there is so much to love about our planet!

In an effort to keep things a bit normal around here (and hold myself accountable to my 2020 goals), I wanted to share my March goals with you all. They are a bit late, but late is better than not at all!

On my calendar this month:

  • The next step in our fertility treatments - here we come IVF!

  • Our second monthly decluttering weekend

What I’m loving right now:

  • The lenten roses are blooming in our backyard, and gosh how I love those sweet little nodding flowers! The tulip, narcissus, and allium bulbs have also woken up and I’m looking forward to watching them bloom in the coming weeks.

  • I’ve also been slowly starting to ease out some of my springtime decor items. I’m really excited to use my bunny vases again this spring, and also love these whimsical serving pieces! One day I’ll host an Easter dinner and have a reason to purchase things like that (especially this tiered dessert stand!).

March goals:

  • Finish two of my current knitting works in progress (this is leftover from last month - I’m so close!)

  • Complete a winter/spring closet clean out (the weather ended up not necessitating that clean out last month, so I’m moving it to this month)

  • Finish my seed starting calendar and start those seeds

  • Get a quote to have our hardwood floors refinished sometime this year

  • Complete our monthly decluttering weekend (we’re going to focus on our guest room this month!)

  • Mail one package of Beautycounter samples out each week, and share two posts on Instagram about my favorite products and skincare regime.

  • Continue unsubscribing from shopping ads and emails

  • Spend time on two days out of the week in the garden

  • Drink at least a gallon of water everyday in preparation for and during our IVF cycle

  • Continue the habit of daily morning and evening meditation practice

  • Finish the intuitive eating course lessons that I signed up for (didn’t quite check this off the list last month, so carrying it forward to this month to wrap up)

As a reminder, many of these monthly goals are directly related to my overall goals for 2020!

With everything going on with COVID-19, I want to check in on how you’re doing, friends. What encouragement can I share? How can I help you stay hopeful during the uncertainty? Are you newly working from home and needs some tips? I’m happy to share from my experience telecommuting for over 5 years! In short, let me know how I can help - I’d love to hear from you!
